1 Overview

1.1 product characteristics

A products are specially designed and specialized flame retardants are used to make the cable devices have good flame retardancy. Products perform MT818.13 and MT386 standards.

B. due to the inherent characteristics of XLPE cable material, cable is suitable for high drop and vertical laying. The product has good chemical stability and good tolerance to general acids, bases and oils. Therefore, when cables are used in these environments, their performances can be maintained for a long time and run safely and reliably.

The C. product has excellent heat resistance. The long term operation temperature of the conductor is 90 C, the short-time overload temperature can reach 160 C, the short-circuit temperature can reach 250 C, and its heat resistance is better than other types of power cables.

The D. product has excellent electrical performance, its volumetric resistance coefficient is two orders of magnitude higher than that of polyethylene, and dielectric loss tangent is two orders of magnitude lower than that of XLPE, showing its superiority under high voltage.

1.2 product usage and scope of application

The XLPE insulated power cable used in coal mine is used for AC 50Hz fixed in underground coal mine or ground, and the rated voltage Uo/U is 8.7/10kV and below.

The rated voltage of the cable shall be suitable for the operation of the cable system. It is indicated by Uo/U (Um), and the effective value is kV.

U0 - rated voltage between conductor and shield or metal sleeve for cable design.

U - rated power frequency voltage between conductors for cable design.

Um - the highest voltage of the equipment (using the maximum voltage of the equipment and system).

Note: U0 is divided into two categories according to the duration of system grounding failure.

The specific categories are as follows:

The first category is U0/U=0.6/1kV (Um=1.2kV), 1.8/3kV (Um=3.6kV), 3.6/6kV (Um=7.2kV), 6/10kV (Um=12kV).

The second category: U0/U=6/6kV, 8.7/10kV (Um=15kV).

The first kind of cable -- the system that is used for the first time of single phase grounding failure, is not more than 1min for the first time, and can also be used for a system that does not exceed 8h at most and accumulatively does not exceed 125h every year.

The second kind of cable is a system which has longer grounding fault time. There are second types of requirements for high insulation performance of cables.

The applicable scope of each type of cable is shown in Table 1.

1.3 product types and specifications

The varieties and models of XLPE power cables for coal mines are shown in Table 1.

The meaning of each part of the product model is as follows:

Number one: serial code M - coal mine flame retardant cable;

Second place: insulation material code YJ - XLPE insulation;

Third place: jacket code V, PVC sheathed, material code for inner sheath when cable has outer sheath.

Fourth place: the armor layer code 2 - double steel strip; 3 - thin round steel wire; 4 - Coarse Round steel wire;

Fifth place: outer sheath material code 2 - PVC outer sheath.

1.4 use environmental conditions and working conditions

A. XLPE cable is a fully plastic power cable. Attention should be paid to avoiding collision and excessive bending so as not to damage the cable.

Long term operation temperature of B cable (i.e. long term allowable working temperature of cable conductor core) shall not exceed 90C, and short-term overload temperature shall not exceed 150C. The operation time at short time overload temperature should not exceed 100 hours throughout the year. The short-circuit temperature should not exceed 250C, and the maximum duration of short circuit must not exceed 5 seconds.

1.5 installation and installation

When the A. cable is laid, the ambient temperature should not be less than 0C. If it needs to be laid at 0C below ambient temperature, the cable must be pre heated before laying.

When the B. cable is laid, the minimum bending diameter should be no less than 15 times the outer diameter of the cable.

C. cable terminal and cable intermediate joint shall be strictly in accordance with the installation specification of cable terminal and cable joint. The insulation shielding (black layer) of HV XLPE cables (Uo for 3.6kV and above) in our company adopts stripped cross-linked semi conductive shield, which can be easily stripped off from insulation. When shielding the insulation, it should be handled with care. The semiconductor layer should be stripped clean, and there should be no residue or damage to insulation.

During the construction and operation of the D., the water and humidity should be strictly entered into the cable core and insulation, so as to discharge the waterproof tree.

1.6 warning words

The maintenance and use of cables should be consistent with the provisions of the coal mine safety regulations besides general regulations.
